With good results in tests in german car magazines the WESTLAKE SW 608 will go to the next step of getting more reputation in the minds of clients and dealers.
A very hard competition is ahead: Two weeks after the most important rally in the whole world: the Rally Monte Carlo as first event of the World Rally Championship, the most attended winter rally for historic cars in Germany starts in Mainz at the 5th of February. The Automobilclub of Germany AvD organizes this event for over 70 cars and 1800 kilometers on the original stages of the “modern” Monte. The trip lasts four days.
Two Porsches will take part on WESTLAKE tires: ZCRs German press officer Jan Hennen with his female codriver Sylke Lambert start on a 230 PS Porsche 911 SC from 1975 prepared by the most successful private raceteam in Germany, Porsche Kremer in Cologne. The second crew Michael Küke and his partner Joachim Carl on a Porsche 924 Group B with about 180 PS, prepared by Porsche specialist Küke himself.
Both cars are equipped with WESTLAKE SW 608 winter tires and for France with WESTLAKE SW 606 with studs. The first tests were very positive and the teams hope for a lot of snow and ice in the swiss and french alps. All tires in 195/65 R 15.
This rally will generate a lot of press interest in WESTLAKE products and helps to build the brand WESTLAKE better and better in Central Europe.
